Crime Stoppers is a nonprofit organization under section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and is funded through donations from the public. Contributions are tax-deductible.
Crime Stoppers does not pay for TV, radio time or newspaper space. All the production expenses and air-time costs are absorbed by the cooperating media. In La Crosse, they include:
